Chilly

As I am typing this we are experiencing the first rain since Thanksgiving. Sunny skies have meant plenty of outside play time. Just a few days before the rain began we had a good freeze. But that sun was still shining so we had to get out and play. The ice made great fun and discovery possible. First we slipped and slid on it. Then Drew discovered we could pick it up... and throw it... and smash it. And like that, the ice was gone...

We did this along the gutter of the entire court.

I love that once the last ice piece had been broken Drew immediately made a dash to his bike. On to the next adventure without delay!!

Another Birthday!

Five family members means there always seems to be a birthday to record.

Little Bee is 6!! This year Amber requested a bowling party. ?? Yeah, bowling. It's all because Caitlin's end-of-the-season soccer party was a bowling party and that was the freshest memory in her mind when we started planning. But, anyway, it turned out being a lot of fun. Bowling balls flying in all directions and a bunch of 6 year old girls goofing around in the bowling alley (just what everyone wanted).

Amber has a fun little group of friends. Only one quiet girl in the bunch (and she isn't mine). It was an entertaining night to say the least. Happy birthday, my little party animal! Six years and the party has just begun. I love watching you grow!

Tradition

I have posted before about our tradition of stomping in rain puddles at the beginning of each wet season. This year Drew got Mom and Dad all to himself for our soggy outing. While the girls enjoyed "Thanksgiving Tea" at Nana's we headed out to the local elementary school for some puddle-stompin' fun!
