These first few days of school have been a whirlwind. I love the structure, routine, and predictability that school and the soccer season bring each year. But it is taking a little getting used to this year. "Busy" is not a clear enough descriptive. It is down right crazy around here. But it feels so good.

Ty focusing on his math homework. He is not sweating from mental exertion, it was hot out there. His is so dang smart. Homework has been a breeze. 

Ty's letter to me for Back to School Night. Would you guess this is the work of a child who does not speak English and was taught to write Chinese characters? He obviously copied the teacher's example. But hello? Smart kid.

Homework is happening on the soccer field. With some extra planning, dinners are happening. So far everyone has made it to where they need to be in a timely fashion. Overall, it is crazy busy but smooth.

Jacob has decided that amidst the craziness, we should go ahead and potty train as well. This seems to be an on-again-off-again process for him so we'll see what happens. But I am so ready to be done with diapers I just might take the little potty in the car and potty train from the soccer field too.
