They make me happy

*Warning: this post contains unusually high volume of mom pride. Read with caution and keep a trash can near by in case of gagging.

The past week and a half without Brad home has been unique. These kids just make my heart squeeze some times.

Drew was given 20 minutes to read before bed time in Mom's room. I came around the corner to send him to bed and found this.

They can be so sweet. Sometimes it is almost like they enjoy each other's company.

Family Home Evening freeze tag. Gotta love an unfinished basement.

We all bowed our heads for family prayer one night. Aiden started giggling. After the prayer was over we discovered why: Joseph had taken advantage of the 30 seconds of quiet and still children to settle in for a nap.

Everyone loves making wishes...

We are never short of helpers. At least, when they are in a good mood. This past weekend we built a small dog run off the back porch for Bella. The kids did a great job.

I love it when this happens.

We have challenges an struggles. Parenting is hard. Growing up is hard. But sometimes the stars align and it feels like we might be doing something right. Thanks be to God for the moments of peace and joy.
