In our home we do something called "toy rotation." We have SO many toys we cannot accommodate them all in one room at a time. So half of the toys are stored in the garage and at least once or twice a year while the kids are out of the house I make the switch. This makes it far easier to weed out the broken toys, cheap McDonalds toys, or baby toys that are just taking up space. It allows me the opportunity to make space for all of the new toys accumulated during birthdays and Christmas. And it keeps the clutter from building up.
It was time.
The boys were so excited when they got home from school. Ty was amazed. He continued to tell me throughout the evening and into the night, "you change all the toys!" The weeks after a toy rotation are so nice because everyone is excited to play with new toys.
