Another 'first' Family Day. It's been a whole year since we brought Ty home and were finally together as a family of 7. We celebrate 'family day', the day we were first all together as a family, rather than gotcha day or adoption day.
Because we were preparing to leave the country again we didn't have time for our traditional dinner out or the fun activity we had planned (ice skating) but we did have time after all the kids were in their jammies to gather on mom and dad's bed to watch videos together. Ty LOVES these videos. And he was especially excited to see everyone give the videos undivided attention.
He lit his 'beginnings candle' before we began and we all snuggled up together to watch the very first video we sent him in China through the most current video I just made for this occasion:
Given the craziness of our current situation, this was the perfect activity to celebrate our Family Day. We love you Ty!
