Christmas Devotionals Day 4

Micah 5:2  "But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting."

We actually started tonight's devotional yesterday afternoon. Our goal was to build Bethlehem in Legos. Some made the stable, some made the Inn, some made King Herod's Palace, and got creative with other ideas. We showed the kids a few examples in pictures on the internet. (Just google 'lego nativity' and click images). Once our lego creations were complete we took a brief video of each kiddo's creation. 

Before bedtime tonight I complied them with the Christmas Carol "O Little Town of Bethlehem.' For our devotional we had one of the kids read the scripture above in Micah and then watched the video together before bedtime prayers.

Since we didn't have to sing, the teenagers were a bit more content. Some of the kids got really into this and spent a lot of time on their creation. It turned out to be a great Sunday activity and a fun Monday follow up.
