Let the countdown begin!

We FINALLY have travel dates! We depart San Francisco the morning of July 2. Now that the wait for travel dates is over there is only one wait left: the wait to squeeze my boy. We leave our home 28 days from now and just 34 days from now our boy will finally be in my arms.

So, I have decided to pass the time with a summer bucket list. We started yesterday since Drew is already out of school. We created a paper chain again. Each day we cut a new link off the chain. Each link has a special activity or outing for the day, many of which have come from our summer bucket list. Some of the bucket list items are being reserved for when Ty is finally home.

Day 29 (yesterday): A picnic at the park. Bonus for Drew: we got to bring a friend.

We also did a little water play...

My little surfer

Day 28 (today): biking at the skate park.

You may have noticed Jacob isn't wearing braces. The inclines at the skate park are excellent physical therapy: they force a stretch and increase range. Pushing the truck also encourages him to lift his toes.

I will continue to find joy in the wait... or at least try... Only 28 days to go.
