Here we are again

I never thought I would see baby food on my grocery list and in my pantry again!

I mentioned before we thought our family was complete before adoption came into our lives. We had sold most of our baby equipment. And when we first decided adoption was the path laid before us, Brad and I believed we would be adopting a toddler. We wanted to maintain the natural birth order in our family. But infants are not available in most international adoptions. We were told we could expect a child between the ages of 9 months and 3 years of age and that "babies" are less common. So when our referral came and we excitedly opened the photo to discover a precious little 7 month old baby boy, we were shocked!

We have a referral! Holy cow, holy cow, holy cow, holy cow! I received a call today at about 4pm from our agency. I cannot believe this is happening so quickly! I am trying so hard to remain calm and cool. He is a darling little 8 month old with blond hair and blue eyes and precious little features. I was not prepared for this. We were convinced he would be older. We were imagining a toddler... We are sending his info to a pediatric specialist tomorrow and have decided not to tell the girls just yet...

So here we are, preparing to go get our sweet little baby and bring him home. Back to diapers. Back to bottles and baby food. Back to pacifiers, highchair, and crib. I am SO excited to have another baby!! I never dreamed we would be here again...
