super fun!

A couple of friends from church asked if they could throw a welcoming party before we go pick up our boy. I guess I could call it a "baby shower." But hello?... this is my 4th child. After gentle prodding of friends and family to "get over it" cause they want to celebrate and have reason to go shopping, I decided a party was indeed in order!

Family and friends asked that we register so they would know what we need. So, again, reassuring myself that I need to just "get over it" we marched into Babies R Us last night to register. I kid you not, the woman actually looked at my stomach when we asked for help at the registry desk. Then her eyes moved across our three children's faces before she ever-so-warmly said, "I'll be over in a minute."

The kids were thrilled to be "shopping" for baby Jacob and proceeded to run like wild indians through the store holding up everything they could reach asking if we needed it. Drew lost interest within about 30 seconds and was happy to just play with the toys.

Amber ended up being the marathon scanner and whined that she didn't get to use the "shooter" enough when we were finally done.

Brad and Caitlin, who are usually my quiet and reserved children, managed to attract plenty of stares and dirty looks with all thier antics. Apparently there was just 'something' in the air.

Speaking of air, when we returned to the car we could not believe how warm it was! It is October! Even though it was not an accurate reading, there is no reason the tempurature should be anywhere near 99 degrees at 7:30 pm in October!! This isn't Arizona!

The kids are so excited to be getting things ready for thier baby brother; makes me smile...
